Robot review

Very occasionally I can be prevailed upon to do a review of a given Doctor Who story. In this instance, Whotopia, a very fine Canadian Doctor Who zine devoted to the long running BBC series, available here, recently published an issue devoted to UNIT, the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce, which featured heavily during the Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker eras of the show. I reviewed UNIT’s role in Robot, Baker’s first foray as the Doctor.

The editor, Bob Furnell, also runs The Doctor Who Project, a long running fiction zine devoted to their version of the Doctor. I’ve submitted a second story for consideration under their Brief Encounters imprint, and hope to hear positive news soon.

The downloadable pdf is here and my review is on page 61.
