While tooling around Brian Keene’s site (a writer whose works I can’t seem to finish) I came across a nifty widget. Everyone who visits the site has their location marked in red on a map of the world.
I’ve added it to this site, so in dribs and drabs I’ll be able to see where my dear readers are coming from. Once again, I’m not the actor, but the hack writer – keep that in mind.
An utterly useless device, but on a dreary Saturday afternoon, it’s brightened up my day. That, and the brownies cooling on the sink.
In other news, I’m currently working on a 6000 submission that has had very, very, very provisional acceptance based on the first 500 words submitted. The rest of it has to meet the standard of those early words, so fingers crossed, I’ll be able to do it.
In other words, a few more rejections (no surprise there) and some good feedback and advice from readers on the Online Writing Workshop for two stories I’ve been working on. Check out Widdershins and Masks for a preview and what others thought of them in their draft forms.
Now, my arteries need clogging…
